In view of the development vision of Anantapuramu, the Government having decided to allocate the client with larger objectives extending beyond the planned growth of ULBs (Urban Local Bodies) of Anantapuramu, Hindupur, Dharmavaram & Penukonda and intends: 

  • to revise the previously prepared master plan,
  • prepare a new master plan for Hindupur, Dharmavaram and for the 180 villages spread in 18 mandals in Ahuda region. It comprises of 3,120.05 sq. km. with a population of 12,24,209.

In this context, a joint venture of Assystem in India and its partner was appointed to prepare the GIS based perspective plan, master plan and zonal development plans for the region comprising of 4 ULBs and 5 zones. The state government approved the master plan of the client.

Project Scope

Review & updation of draft general town planning scheme (Masterplan) for Anantapuramu municipal. Several actions have been made:

  • New masterplan and Zonal Development Plans (ZDPs) 
  • Perspective plan, masterplan and ZDPs for the entire region in GIS format with special emphasis on urban infrastructure, transportation, industrial and investment plan and detailed zoning regulations for the region

The consultants scope includes:

  • Existing situation assessment
  • Vision 2039 and strategy formulation 
  • Final spatial strategy and preliminary masterplan
  • Draft perspective plan, masterplan and draft zonal development plans including detailed zoning regulations
  • Assistance to the client in notification and finalisation of draft perspective plan, masterplan, zonal development plans, zoning regulations and action plans
