Assystem supported a UK civil nuclear dutyholder in a whole-of-site cyber security assessment, as part of a national programme overseen by the regulator.
In this context, the client site requested Assystem to support the technical assessments and to support the project approach.
Project Scope
A whole-of-site OT Cyber Security assessment was carried out. It required extensive expertise of the pre-exisitng safety case information.
- Assystem staff reviewed the safety case information of the entire site, and interpreted it into the context of an Operating Technology (OT) cyber security assessment
- Assystem staff engaged with subject matter experts across multiple disciplines, assisted in development meetings with the regulator, and facilitated cyber assessment workshops
Client benefits
The work resulted in a well substantiated characterisation of OT cyber security in the nuclear site, providing for confidence and prioritisation of onward decision making by the dutyholder and national stakeholders.
The regulator gave this project an inspection rating of green.
