Job Description

The Technical Administrator will be responsible to provide administrative support to our client onsite within engineering teams.

This role is required to be embedded within existing engineering teams under the guidance and supervision of the designated Group Leader or delegated person. There will be reach back to an Assystem Project Manager for any escalations and further support requirements.

You will be mainly responsible for data inputting/authoring/maintaining/checking documentation and managing of data into database toolsets, provided by the client.

Key Accountabilities

  • The role will also involve significant interaction with operations and engineering teams in order to ensure that data and documents have been completed correctly and compliance verified.
  • Provide a systematic and meticulous approach to process and detail adherence.
  • Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality on a client’s site with also being a committed team player.

Key Responsibilities

  • This is a key role which requires ability to focus and concentrate to ensure that documentation, data, and correspondence are correct and well maintained.
  • Supporting various engineering functions ie Tooling, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations and others, to ensure compliance with all documentation, processes adherence, and procurement activities for administrative requirements.
  • Checking and collation / storage of engineering documents and records in support of record retention and standardisation to process.
  • Ensuring liaising and capture of progress with engineering teams to share for inputs into planning programmes, support maintaining of this information and management of.
  • Attending technical meetings as scribe and publishing minutes if required.
  • To be responsible for document controlling activities, with such activities within client’s data management systems i.e. (TeamCenter and SAP) and generate placeholder creations, folder management, and revision control.
  • Able to take instruction on Technical Administrative activities for example:
    • Reviewing information captured on engineering drawing Parts, Assemblies and Sub-Assemblies) and then ensure that Digital TI (Digital Route Cards) & SAP (training to be provided) are correctly linked.
    • Create Team-Centre flysheets (MS excel spreadsheets) referencing legacy engineering drawings and assigning sub-number to flysheets.
    • Be able to transpose information on to clients template forms, to allow ordering of materials / parts within the supply chain.

 Applicants must be able to demonstrate competency in the majority of the skills detailed below:

  • Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to processes with a logical systematic approach.
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office Programmes.
  • Experience as scribe/minute taking.
  • Experience of using SAP, TeamCenter, and Azure DevOps- or equivalent data inputting experience into a data management system would be beneficial.(Awareness training to be provided if required).
  • Documentation control process awareness
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexible to work to meet the demands of the business at key critical times.
  • Experience of working in a in an engineering business is preferred but not essential.

**Security clearance**

  • SC essential and a sole UK national.
