Social Specialist

Finding solutions to climate change is the priority of the 21st century, and means switching to low-carbon energy. At Assystem, our mission is to accelerate the energy transition worldwide. To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.


In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.


Assystem Türkiye, is renowned for working with the public and private sectors. Specializing in ESIA studies, site investigations, and laboratory research, the company offers vital site supervision owners and lenders engineering services. Notably, Assystem Türkiye plays a pivotal role in major projects like power generation, and the construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant.


Job Description

  • Support RAP and LRP related activities in the field and at the desktop under the scope of the project
  • Conduct site visits, attend negotiation meetings, and participate in monitoring visits
  • Prepare necessary documentation related to social, resettlement, and livelihood restoration activities, and provide inputs to project reports

My profile

  • A degree from a University or a similar institution in a relevant discipline (a Master’s degree would be an advantage)
  • Fluency in English and Turkish, both written and spoken, is required

General Professional Experience:

  • Over 5 years of experience in implementing and carrying out Social Impact Assessments (SIAs), Stakeholder Engagement Plans (SEPs), Labor Management Plans (LMPs), and Grievance Redress Mechanisms (GRMs)
  • Experience with EBRD and other lender safeguards, and their role in project social impact and resettlement processes and cycles
  • Ability to undertake site trips as required

Specific Professional Experience:

  • Over 5 years of specific experience in Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) and Livelihood Restoration Plan (LRP) monitoring and reporting in accordance with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) standards, especially EBRD, AIIB, and WB
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
