Job Description

Your future team:

You will be joining a team of talented and ambitious Senior Mechanical Engineers supporting engineering work packages we as a consultancy manage for numerous major clients, mainly in the nuclear field.

You can be based out of any of our Sunderland, Derby, Glasgow, Blackburn, or Bristol offices and hybrid working will be available.
 

Your missions:

🎯 Lead and manage assigned project tasks, allowing others to lead where appropriate.

🎯 Communicate technical developments and project delivery updates to the Lead Engineer and Project Manager.

🎯 Provide technical guidance to team members.

🎯 Travel within the UK as required, including potential offsite work at client sites.

My profile

Qualifications/Skills to be successful:

💡 Minimum 2:1 BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). A Master’s level qualification is preferable.

💡 Specific experience in the design of HVAC systems.

💡 Working knowledge of European standards, such as Eurocode 3, is desirable.

💡 Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD software (training can be provided).

💡 Familiarity with FEA and preferably user-level experience with ANSYS Workbench.

💡 Strong mathematical background and experience with MathCAD software are desirable.

💡 Appreciation for the engineering design cycle from concept through to manufacture.

💡 Experience in producing mechanical and structural engineering calculations, FEA, CAD, and drawings.

💡 Full driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK.

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will require Security clearance. To gain this they will be required to be a Sole UK national.
