Job Description

Job Overview

Our organization requires a Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in design, analysis, and project management of electrical systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of team leadership, delivery of high-quality solutions, and strict adherence to relevant standards and codes.

Key Responsibilities

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Electrical System Design & Analysis

     

    • Spearhead the design and development of critical electrical power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
    • Execute precise load calculations, short-circuit analyses, and protection coordination studies.
    • Ensure unwavering compliance with local and international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC).
  2. Project Management

     

    • Assume full responsibility for multiple projects from conception to completion, ensuring strict adherence to project timelines and budgets.
    • Orchestrate collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (MEP, architects, structural engineers) to coordinate design requirements and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Conduct formal project kick-off meetings, rigorous progress reviews, and comprehensive final handover sessions.
  3. Technical Leadership

     

    • Provide authoritative mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, drafters, and BIM modelers.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of design documents, BOQs, and technical specifications prepared by the engineering team.
    • Implement and enforce best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
  4. Compliance & Quality Assurance

     

    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure continuous compliance.
    • Execute critical site visits for inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
    • Rigorously evaluate and approve electrical equipment vendor submissions.
  5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

     

    • Facilitate seamless project execution through strategic coordination with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Actively participate in client meetings and design reviews, providing expert technical counsel.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong professional relationships by consistently delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications & Skills

 

  • Education

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
    • Master’s Degree in a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience

    • A minimum of 7 years of extensive, relevant work experience in electrical engineering is required, with a strong preference for candidates with 12 or more years of experience in medium to large-scale projects.
    • Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and high-performing teams is essential.
  • Technical Expertise

    • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design software, including but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and Dialux, is imperative.
    • Comprehensive understanding of power distribution systems, lighting design, control systems, and grounding methodologies is crucial.
    • In-depth knowledge of and strict adherence to safety standards and codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, and local regulations) is non-negotiable.
  • Professional Competencies

    • Exceptional leadership abilities, coupled with superior communication skills and advanced problem-solving capabilities, are essential.
    • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with diverse stakeholders is critical.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and superior organizational skills are paramount.
  • Professional Certifications

    • Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or comparable project management certification is highly advantageous.
