Job Description

The role of Quantity Surveyor Civil (Infrastructure) is a critical position within our organisation, requiring a high level of expertise and attention to detail.

  • Conduct thorough analysis and interpretation of tender documents and drawings to extract optimal quantities with utmost precision.
  • Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for complex infrastructure projects including Highways, Bridges, Railways, Flyovers, and both Elevated and Underground Metros. This task demands meticulous interpretation of tender documents and contract agreements, utilising independent estimation expertise.
  • Develop detailed rate analyses for civil engineering items, incorporating rigorous reviews and providing substantiated inputs, backups, and justifications.
  • Identify, quantify, and compile precise costings for utility-related issues pertaining to assigned projects, utilising available data from contracts and agreements.
  • Provide critical value-engineering inputs during the preparation of BOQs, Cost Estimates, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), Pre-Bids, and Detailed Engineering projects, ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Conduct comprehensive rate analyses for all items related to Bridge and Road work, supporting these with accurate estimation of Project Costs.
  • Produce precise Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) in strict accordance with the Detail design drawings, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project specifications.

My profile

Educational Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution is mandatory.

Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 – 5 years of demonstrable experience in quantity surveying for large-scale infrastructure projects is essential. Candidates must possess a proven track record in handling complex civil engineering assignments.

Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and quantity surveying techniques is crucial. Proficiency in industry-standard software for quantity takeoffs and cost estimation is required.

Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents with precision is imperative.
