Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission

As a Project Manager within the Digital and IT Team for the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, you will oversee the implementation and delivery of multiple small to medium projects, ensuring they meet targets for time, cost, and quality. Your role will focus on managing project activities, coordinating dependencies, and providing delivery assurance to meet critical programme milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

⚡️ Plan and organise activities and meetings across assigned projects
⚡️ Drive and ensure project delivery while managing risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
⚡️ Produce and maintain the Project Delivery Plan and coordinate tasks between Digital and IT service lines
⚡️ Support the Digital & IT finance team with overall Information Management (IM) finances
⚡️ Manage key documentation and assurance processes to meet quality standards
⚡️ Provide regular progress reporting to the Sponsor, Steering Group, or Senior Management
⚡️ Oversee project budgets, costs, and accruals using assigned tools
⚡️ Manage third-party suppliers and ensure alignment with project goals
⚡️ Develop and nurture relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives

Contextual Information:

Operating in a ‘pool and assignment’ model, you will be assigned to projects for specific durations and work closely with various senior management figures, including Programme Managers, Project Delivery Managers, and Portfolio Managers. This role requires managing a diverse range of projects with flexibility and an ability to balance priorities effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

🛠 Strong leadership skills with excellent written and oral communication
🛠 Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
🛠 Confident decision-making with a structured approach to stakeholder alignment
🛠 Experience managing multiple business change workstreams within a change portfolio, ideally in an IT environment
🛠 Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
🛠 Experience with project management in an IT technical or functional area
🛠 Desirable experience in Engineering Change Management and IT System Integrations
🛠 Prior experience in nuclear, energy, construction, or manufacturing industries is beneficial
🛠 Flexibility to work remotely or from Bridgwater/HPC site as needed to keep workstreams on schedule

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance (BPSS).
