Job Description
Your Mission:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Manager to lead planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management for a major nuclear project in the UK. If you have a strong background in project controls, team leadership, and NEC contract management, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a critical infrastructure project. 🚀
As a Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and risk management strategies, ensuring project success through effective reporting and stakeholder engagement. You will also lead a team of project controls professionals, fostering collaboration across multiple disciplines to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
✅ Develop and implement project controls plans and procedures 📑
✅ Oversee project scheduling, cost control, and risk management
✅ Ensure compliance with nuclear safety and security regulations ⚠️
✅ Lead and mentor a team of project controls professionals 👥
✅ Monitor project budgets, track costs, and prepare financial forecasts 💰
✅ Identify and mitigate project risks and opportunities 🔍
✅ Manage schedules on NEC projects, ensuring contractual compliance
✅ Engage with clients, engineers, and project managers to align project goals 🤝
✅ Provide accurate and timely reporting on project performance
My profile
🎓 Qualifications & Required Skills
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
✔️ 5+ years of experience in project controls within the nuclear industry
✔️ Expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Excel
✔️ Strong understanding of NEC contracts and integrated project schedules
✔️ Leadership experience in managing a team of project control professionals
✔️ Knowledge of nuclear safety and security requirements ⚛️
✔️ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
✔️ Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
