In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.


Job Description

The Project Control Director establishes and implements the Project Control processes and infrastructure/platform to allow directing the project for:

  • Integrated Schedule Development for the whole project lifecycle
  • Estimate Build up and Cost Reporting
  • Risk Management Planning and execution including strategy for Management Reserve and Project Risk Contingency provisioning.
  • Project Change Control Management and Trending

 

The Project Control Director establishes and leads a project control team and assumes the overall responsibility for providing the single source of performance information connected to the Project for schedule, cost, and/or risk performance. He ensures project control deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget and oversees portfolio cost and schedule adherence. He assigns and manages project control resource assignments to ensure portfolio goals are achieved.

My profile

  • Bachelor degree-level or equivalent qualification in engineering
  • Minimum total 21+ years experience in industrial sector including a significant experience (minimum 10 years) as Project/Programme Control manager or Programme manager supervising project control activities
  • Knowledge of Project Control tools & software (schedule, risk, costs)
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Possess drive, initiative, and result-oriented skills and the ability to work under pressure. 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills 
  • Able to develop quickly strong relationships with multinational teams from different organisations representing the Owner, EPC vendor, Construction, Commissioning, Project Management, Safety and licensing and owner, among others. 
  • Able to understand and respect local culture.  
  • Leadership capability and mentoring of staff. 
  • Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information

 

 **Security clearance**

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.

Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
