UzAssystem is a joint venture between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the international engineering company Assystem. Job Description

UzAssystem is seeking a Principal Consultant with extensive experience in Transmission & Distribution Lines and Grid Integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.

This role requires technical expertise in design review, project execution, and team management, as well as strong communication skills to build relationships with stakeholders and business partners, fostering collaboration and securing new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead transmission line design projects (22kV to 500kV).
  • Oversee and provide expertise in HV transmission line design, including reviewing layouts, specifications, and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project briefs, technical requirements, and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct design reviews, ensuring robust and efficient structural and architectural considerations.
  • Drive business development, expanding the transmission line portfolio and securing new opportunities.
  • Engage with project stakeholders, including developers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Oversee planning and implementation of international energy projects, focusing on transmission and distribution networks.

 

My profile

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of professional working experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience, managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale transmission projects.
  • Understanding of structural and architectural considerations in transmission line design.
  • Experience collaborating with utilities, developers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Business development experience, with a track record of expanding project portfolios and securing contracts.
  • Strong understanding of international energy projects, transmission planning, and grid integration.
  • Fluent English required; additional language skills (e.g., Uzbek or Russian) are an advantage
