Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join our team for the Syr Darya II Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) project in Shirin, Uzbekistan. The ideal candidate should have at least six years of experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in power plant or CCPP projects, with a strong background in equipment installation (turbine, Generators Skids etc.).

 

  • Collaborate with site management and erection teams to ensure compliance with mechanical installation standards.
  • Interface with the owner’s operation team for system handover and permits.
  • Analyze mechanical installation procedures and identify required interfaces.
  • Verify technical prerequisites, safety requirements, and test equipment availability.
  • Detect risks and propose solutions to ensure a secure commissioning and inspection process.
  • Perform inspections and testing to validate system functionality and compliance with project requirements.
  • Prepare inspection reports and document progress.
  • Report issues and updates to the commissioning team leader.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Apply the Owner’s quality system for inspection documentation, including test procedures, anomaly reports, and supplier evaluations

My profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of six years of experience in mechanical inspection, preferably in power plant projects.
  • Experience in equipment installation (turbine, Generators Skids etc.) is required.
  • Experience in Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in English (minimum B1 level).
  • Knowledge of Russian, Uzbek, or Chinese is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with commissioning documentation and reporting standards.
  • Commitment to maintaining safety and environmental regulations.
  • NACE or SSPC certification would be a plus
