Job Description

The Job Mission As a Mechanical Engineer – Area Integration Lead in Bridgwater, you will support the Area Integration Lead in reviewing and developing construction sequences for structures, systems, and components. Your mission includes ensuring sequences support key schedule milestones and managing transverse issues across different areas.

📝 Responsibilities:

  • Review construction schedules to ensure sequence implementation.
  • Assess material and equipment availability for project readiness.
  • Support resolution of “hotspots” to maintain schedule milestones.
  • Oversee application of “Delivery Work Pack” & “Interface Data Sheet” procedures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Planning, Procurement, Delivery, Commissioning, and Site Operations.
  • Use 3D/4D tools like Navisworks and Synchro for project planning.
  • Interrogate P6 schedules and manage data using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

⚙️ Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent in Construction Management.
  • Experience in delivering complex projects.
  • Proficiency in planning tools (P6), 3D model interrogation (Navisworks), and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

✔️ Desired Skills:

  • Construction health and safety qualification (e.g., IOSHH Managing Safely).
  • Background in nuclear construction.
  • Experience in highly regulated, high-security environments.
  • Knowledge of French is advantageous.
