Are you ready to ignite your career in engineering with thrilling challenges and ground breaking projects within Nuclear and Defence? Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are expanding its team in Derby and are looking for enthusiastic Mechanical Engineers to join our innovative team

Your Missions

  • 🛠️ Design Systems & Components: Analyze needs, use CAD for designs, iterate based on feedback.

  • ✏️ Produce Outline & Conceptual Designs: Brainstorm, prototype, refine with 3D software.

  • 🛠️ Formulate Effective Solutions: Stay updated, collaborate, conduct feasibility studies.

  • 📈 Evaluate Final Product: Test thoroughly, collect data, ensure compliance.

  • 🔄 Alter Designs to Meet Requirements: Incorporate feedback, iterate for improvement.

  • 🤝 Work on Budget & Scope: Collaborate on cost, assess project needs.

  • 🚨 Identify Risk & Opportunity: Assess risks, develop strategies, seek innovation.

  • 📝 Prepare Reports & Documentation: Document decisions, create technical reports.

  • 📚 Engage in Lifelong Learning: Stay updated, attend events, participate in research.

My profile

Qualifications:

  • 🏭 Experience in Valves, Pressure Vessel, Structural, Tooling, or Lifting Equipment Design.
  • 🔧 Proven working experience in mechanical engineering.
  • ⚠️ Understanding of safety legislation.
  • 🛠️ Understanding of materials.
  • 💻 Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar).
  • 📊 Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcentre or similar).
  • 🔍 Understanding of engineering analysis tools (MathCAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS or similar).
  • 🎓 BEng or similar professional qualification in an engineering related field.

 

🔒 Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will require Security clearance.To gain this you  will be required to be a Sole UK national,
