Job Description

Junior Project Manager – Warrington Permanent

Your future team:

 Assystem is a well-established leader in the nuclear decommissioning sector.  Join our team as Junior Project Manager within our  Nuclear Decommissioning Business Unit.  You will be will be responsible for implementing fundamental work processes used in Design and Construction, supporting all three project dimensions of time, cost and quality.

Your Missions:

📊 Development of Estimates and Budgets: Manage and administer task order contracts.

📅 Supporting Plans and Schedules: Assist in creating detailed plans and timelines.

📈 Performance Tracking: Monitor budgets and schedules, correlating performance data with work processes, and produce project actuals and forecasts.

🔍 Variance Analysis: Analyze discrepancies in direct hire and contract hire work activities.

📉 Trend Identification: Detect deviations and take action to prevent them.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • 🎓APM PFQ / PMQ – preferred but not essential (we would provide training)
     

Desirable Skills:

  • 📚 Basic understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and techniques.
  • 📚 NEC contracts
  • 🗓️ Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, and risk management processes.
  • ⏰ Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • 🗣️ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • 💻 Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project).
  • 📊 Proficient in MS tools (e.g., MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word).
  • 🧠 Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and make data-driven decisions.
  • 🗂️ Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • 🔄 Adaptability and willingness to learn new concepts and technologies.
  • 🤝 Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.
  • 🌟 Demonstrated leadership potential and willingness to take initiative.

Additional Information:

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will require Security clearance. To gain this they will be required to be a Sole UK national
