Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission
You’ll be embedded within our commissioning team on Hinkley Point C.
You will work alongside electrical, mechanical, and software experts to deliver I&C systems.
Your future team will ensure high-performance, safe, and compliant commissioning across critical systems.

Your role will include:

  • Commissioning and testing Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems across HPC plant units
  • Conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting of automation and control faults
  • Leading diagnostic testing on Distributed Control Systems (DCS), including Siemens SPPA-T3000
  • Overseeing calibration and verification of field instrumentation and RMS equipment
  • Supporting integration and testing of HMI and software prototypes within the plant control systems
  • Coordinating with system engineering, operations, and OEMs to resolve open commissioning items
  • Ensuring all testing activities are aligned with nuclear safety standards and plant procedures
  • Managing documentation for commissioning progress, non-conformances, and system handover

 

My profile

🛠 Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in I&C commissioning in nuclear or heavy industry
  • Siemens SPPA-T3000 or similar DCS system experience
  • RMS testing, calibration, and commissioning experience
  • Strong root cause analysis and diagnostics skills
  • Familiar with UK nuclear site safety processes
  • Experience reading and interpreting I&C schematics and logic diagrams
  • Ability to interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Excellent reporting and documentation skills

✔️ Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of Olkiluoto3, Flamanville 3 or HPC project environment
  • Hands-on Siemens TXP, TXS or T2000 systems experience
  • Experience with SIMATIC S7, TIA Portal, or WinCC
  • Exposure to severe accident and safety automation systems
  • Familiarity with commissioning tools like TOTO, NTM and Work Orders
