Job Description
We are looking for candidates with a passion for working on infrastructure projects and a demonstrable commitment to the developing themselves as a Consents Management professional. As a Graduate Consents Manager you’ll assist on various infrastructure projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience and exposure to different aspects of a wide range of consenting process. Key responsibilities include:
- Application Management – Supporting senior consents managers with assembling consent applications and general consent management activities, including co-ordination of technical specialists and programming of submittals.
- Documentation and Reporting – Assisting in the preparation of written reports and documentation for submissions. Maintenance of consents registers to ensure reporting is up to date for dissemination across multiple teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Supporting and building relationships with key project stakeholders (including delivery, programming and project management teams) and statutory bodies.
- Team Collaboration: Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge, provide guidance on consent-related matters, ensure consistency of information and data used on consents applications and to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence
My profile
Essential:
- Relevant degree including Town Planning (or similar), Law, Geography, Environmental Science or Management, Construction, Engineering and Project Management
Desirable:
- Interested in achieving Chartered status and membership of a relevant professional institution (i.e. RTPI, RICS, CIPR, IEMA, etc.)
- Understanding of planning regulations, environmental legislation, or land rights and regulatory frameworks relevant to infrastructure projects.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building skills to foster trust and collaboration with various stakeholders.
- Technical Writing: Proficiency in writing clear and concise reports, proposals, and policy documents that communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Problem solving: Ability to break down issues into manageable components, evaluate options, and develop effective solutions.
Requirements for Assystem Graduate Scheme:
- Successful Candidate must be a UK Sole National
- Successful Candidate must be willing to relocate as part of their rotational Scheme (Relocation Support available)
Security Clearance:
The successful applicant must be a UK resident and, due to the nature of the work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet this criteria in order to attain a minimum level of BPSS clearance.
