Job Description

Your Future Team:

Join our Defence Infrastructure team as a Construction Manager. Ensure safety, quality, and compliance in high-stakes construction projects. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver secure and efficient project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 📋 Client & Designer Liaison: Ensure compliance with CDM regulations by coordinating with the Client and Principal Designer.
  • 🤝 Contractor Coordination: Work with senior site management of external Principal Contractors to oversee and coordinate all project activities.
  • 🛠️ Project Meetings & Planning: Conduct regular meetings to align all parties and ensure safe and coordinated project delivery.
  • 🔍 Oversight & Audits: Perform audits and inspections to maintain high safety and quality standards.
  • 📢 Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders on safety, quality, and project progress.

Your strengths and prerequisites for success:

  • NEBOSH
  • Degree/ HND in Civil Engineering, Construction
  • IOSH
  • Water retaining structures
  • Nuclear/ regulated environments
  • ICE/ CIOB

Umbrella contractor role but Permanent staff option considered

Full time role which requires 5 days on site in Plymouth per week
