Job Description
About the Role:
Assystem is hiring a Configuration Engineer – Electrical to support the Hinkley Point C project. Embedded with EDF, you will manage the configuration of electrical systems, ensuring all changes are properly documented and implemented to meet project and safety requirements.
Location: Satellite Delivery Centre, Bridgwater. 3/4 days per week in the office with regular travel to HPC site required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the configuration of electrical systems, ensuring that all changes are correctly documented and tracked.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure that electrical systems are installed as per the design and are compliant with BS7671 and other relevant standards.
- Maintain version control and ensure accurate documentation for all electrical configurations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the resolution of configuration-related issues, working closely with EDF’s project management, engineering, and quality assurance teams.
- Ensure electrical systems are compliant with nuclear safety standards and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and configuration records for client and regulatory use.
My profile
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in managing electrical configurations on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within the nuclear or energy sectors.
- Strong understanding of electrical system design and installation standards, such as BS7671.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills in managing configuration changes.
- Experience with configuration management tools and processes.
