In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.
UzAssystem is a joint venture between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the international engineering company Assystem. Our mission is to drive Uzbekistan’s energy transition through innovative renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydro, and the region’s first nuclear power plant. Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in commissioning and system start-up activities, ensuring seamless integration and operational success. This position requires a proactive individual capable of managing complex interfaces and delivering high-quality commissioning results while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination and Interface Management:
- Collaborate with site management and erection teams to prepare systems for commissioning (STOC).
- Interface with the owner’s operation team for system handover and permits.
- Commissioning Execution:
- Analyze commissioning procedures and identify required interfaces.
- Verify technical prerequisites, safety requirements, and test equipment availability.
- Detect risks and propose solutions to ensure a secure commissioning process.
- Perform tests to validate system functionality and ensure compliance.
- Reporting and Quality Assurance:
- Prepare commissioning reports and document progress.
- Report issues and updates to the commissioning team leader.
- Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Apply the Owner’s quality system for commissioning documentation (test procedures, anomaly reports, supplier evaluations, etc.).
My profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Power Engineering, or Energy Systems Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years in commissioning activities.
- Experience in Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects is a strong plus.
- Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written).
- Proficiency in Russian, Uzbek, or Chinese (spoken and read) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with commissioning documentation and reporting standards.
- Commitment to maintaining safety and environmental regulations
