Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer Instrument & Control (I&C) to join our team for power plant commissioning activities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of instruments, transmitters, actuators, and control systems, while maintaining safety and adhering to schedules.
Within the contract in force with EDF-ICA LLC (Onshore Owner’s Engineer), UzAssystem is in charge of the quality inspection of the construction and installation works related to the structures, systems, and components SYR DARIA II CCPP project, of which construction is ongoing at Shirin site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instrument and System Commissioning:
- Conduct instrument calibration checks.
- Perform loop checks during pre-commissioning.
- Maintain and follow up on I&C equipment during commissioning.
- Calibrate air-actuated control valves.
- Collaborate with DCS supplier commissioning engineers to verify alarms.
- Safety and Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and site constraints.
- Prepare and utilize commissioning schedules, procedures, and related documentation.
- Technical Expertise:
- Execute Loop Test testing from Instrument to DCS.
- Conduct blank tests of logic and follow up I/O lists.
- Perform terminal-to-terminal cable checks (polarities, meggering, etc.).
- Program instruments using HART protocol.
- Calibrate and verify test instruments according to standards.
My profile
- Graduate diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of instrumentation experience.
- Experience in Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) projects is a plus.
- Fluent in English (spoken, read, and written).
- Proficiency in Russian, Uzbek, or Chinese (spoken and read) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning procedures, P&IDs, piping ISOs, functional descriptions, and related documentation.
- Familiarity with safety processes, including permit control, energy isolation, and confined space entry.
- Ability to write and apply risk and method statements
